    Ensign Ken Land

    The following message has been received from Ken’s wife Jacqueline:

    I wish to inform you that I am the widow of Ken Land who was the MAA on the Lowestoft’s last commission.
    He passed away in Spain from cancer on the 7th Feb 2005.
    We were married for 24 years and I was a Chief Wren(RS)(M) and served for 22 years
    RIP Ken - Sadly missed

    It is very sad that I have read this. I served onboard Cygnet with Ken and knew his wife Jackie quite well from their time in Rosyth. They used to enjoy runs ashore with the ships company, I remember Jackie turning up in Gravesend one weekend when we where in, what a weekend that was. Ken was honest and dependable and well liked by all.

    Sad news.

    Ken was my jaunty on the last commission, sad to hear the news, he was a real gent. My thoughts are with his family. Pete
