    Ensign Captain EMG Johnstone

    We have been informed that Captain Edward MG Johnstone RN who was the Commanding Officer of HMS Lowestoft from March 1966 to May 1967 'crossed the bar' on 17th January 2017, aged 87.
    He also served as the CDR(X) in HMS Eagle from 1970 - 1971.
    When we started the 'Lowestoft Association' in 2009 he was the only former CO that we were unable to trace/contact therefore it is regrettably he did not get the chance to attend a reunion which I'm sure he would have enjoyed as Admiral Treacher was his Captain in HMS Eagle.
